Polestar UK has officially recognised the Polestar Drivers Club UK as its official club for owners and enthusiasts, giving the fast-growing community a closer connection to the electric performance brand.

Founded in 2022 as a Facebook group for Polestar enthusiasts, PDCUK has grown to almost 700 members, organising owner meet-ups, sharing advice and bringing drivers together around their cars.

Its new official status marks the next stage in that relationship, with Polestar UK set to provide members with exclusive access to brand events and news, while including the club in future event plans.

The announcement comes as Polestar’s UK presence continues to grow, with the manufacturer reporting 60,000 cars sold since its British launch in 2020.

From online group to official owners’ community

PDCUK already organises activities ranging from informal coffee meets to larger driving experiences and exclusive Polestar customer events.

Members can also access information and advice, offers and discounts from relevant brands, while the club produces its own magazine, The Constellation.

Club owner Alan Clement said the relationship with Polestar UK had developed through “mutual respect, open communication and a shared passion for the brand and the cars”.

He added that Polestar UK’s continued support had helped members feel part of the wider Polestar community, with the club looking forward to developing the partnership further.

Fellow club owner Andreas Tatt said his five years of Polestar ownership had enabled him to build relationships with people across both Polestar UK and the company’s global organisation.

Invitations to launches, community days and meetings had already demonstrated the manufacturer’s willingness to engage directly with owners, he said, adding that the club was “extremely excited” to develop the relationship further.

More opportunities for Polestar owners

For Polestar UK, the partnership provides another route for building closer relationships with existing customers as its range and UK owner base continue to expand.

Matt Galvin, Managing Director of Polestar UK, said creating a strong community of enthusiasts and owners was an important focus for the company.

“The Polestar Drivers Club UK will be essential in helping us build this community together,” he said, with the aim of creating more opportunities for owners to connect, share experiences and engage with the brand both on and off the road.

PDCUK will operate alongside Polestar’s official global online community, which has more than 70,000 members worldwide discussing vehicles, ownership and other Polestar-related topics.

Motoring Echo Verdict

The best owners’ clubs tend to develop organically, built around enthusiasm for the cars rather than corporate marketing. PDCUK appears to have followed exactly that route.

Official recognition from Polestar UK should give the club greater access to the manufacturer while retaining the owner-led community that helped establish it in the first place. For Polestar, meanwhile, it provides a useful direct connection with some of its most engaged UK customers – something that could become increasingly valuable as the brand’s model range and owner base grow.
