Farizon has strengthened its UK aftersales support with a new vehicle replacement partnership with Europcar Mobility Group UK, designed to minimise downtime for businesses operating its electric vans.
The Geely Holding Group-owned commercial vehicle brand has selected Europcar to provide replacement vehicles for Farizon customers when their own van cannot be repaired at the roadside. The service will work alongside Farizon’s existing roadside assistance partnership with the AA.
Under the new arrangement, customers whose Farizon SV or V7E cannot be repaired following a breakdown will be provided with a replacement Farizon SV within two days of the incident.
Importantly for business users, the replacement vehicle service will remain available for the duration of the vehicle’s warranty. The SV comes with a four-year/120,000-mile warranty, while the V7E is covered for five years or 120,000 miles.

Focus on keeping businesses moving
Farizon has been steadily building its UK aftersales infrastructure as it looks to establish itself in the increasingly competitive electric commercial vehicle market.
Customers already receive four years of AA roadside assistance, while the company also operates a next-day parts supply service through DHL.
Andrew Grigor, Head of Aftersales at Farizon Auto UK, said the Europcar agreement adds another layer of reassurance for businesses considering the transition to electric vans.
“While our vans are built for business, we’ve set out to ensure our aftersales offering provides the service our fleet and retail customers expect,” he said.
Grigor added that Farizon’s reliability, AA roadside assistance and next-day parts supply should help minimise vehicle downtime, with the Europcar partnership providing further confidence for existing and prospective customers moving to electric vans.
Replacement Farizon SV delivered to the driver
A key element of the agreement is Europcar’s Delivery & Collection service, meaning drivers will not normally need to travel to a rental branch to collect or return their replacement vehicle.
Europcar is initially positioning a fleet of 10 Farizon SV L1H1 vans at strategic locations around the UK, allowing replacement vehicles to be dispatched when required.
More than 70% of Europcar’s network is equipped with EV charging facilities, and replacement electric vans are expected to be supplied with at least an 80% battery charge at the beginning of the loan.
Tom Middleditch, Sustainability spokesperson at Europcar, said the dedicated Farizon fleet would give businesses confidence that a suitable replacement could be delivered wherever their driver is located in the country.
“Being without their vehicle can be a very stressful time for any driver, but when it impacts on their ability to carry out their job, the pressure is even greater,” he said.
Middleditch believes rapid access to replacement electric vehicles will not only reduce business downtime but also help build wider confidence in electric mobility.

Motoring Echo Verdict
For commercial vehicle operators, electric van capability is only one part of the ownership equation. Keeping vehicles working — and providing a rapid alternative when they are not — can be just as important.
Farizon’s combination of AA roadside assistance, next-day parts support and now a dedicated Europcar replacement fleet addresses one of the practical concerns businesses may have when switching to a relatively new electric van brand.
Providing another Farizon SV rather than simply a conventional rental vehicle is particularly significant, allowing drivers to remain in a comparable electric commercial vehicle while their own van is being repaired.
As Farizon works to establish itself in the UK, comprehensive aftersales support could prove every bit as important as range, payload and purchase price in persuading businesses to make the switch.
