Volkswagen is giving UK new-car buyers the chance to save £1,000 across almost its entire passenger car range as part of a new End of Summer Sale running from Monday 24 August until Monday 14 September 2026.
The £1,000 saving is available whether customers buy their new Volkswagen outright or fund the purchase through Volkswagen Financial Services, with petrol, hybrid and electric models included.
For buyers considering an electric Volkswagen, the offer can also be combined with the Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG) on eligible models, increasing the potential saving to £2,500.
Three weeks to secure the saving
To qualify for the End of Summer Sale, customers must order an eligible new Volkswagen between 24 August and 14 September, with the vehicle handed over by 31 December 2026.
Almost every model in Volkswagen’s passenger car line-up is included, providing savings across some of the manufacturer’s most popular hatchbacks and SUVs.
There are, however, several exclusions. The forthcoming ID. Polo and ID. Cross are not included, while the limited-edition Golf GTI EDITION 50 and new ID.3 Neo also fall outside the promotion.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles models, including the ID. Buzz, are excluded from the sale.
Electric models offer savings of up to £2,500
The promotion could be particularly attractive for motorists considering the switch to electric power.
Eligible versions of the ID.3, ID.4 and ID.5 already qualify for the Government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant. Adding Volkswagen’s £1,000 End of Summer Sale discount brings the total potential saving to £2,500.
That reduces the ID.3 Pure Essential from £30,860 to £28,360, while the ID.4 Pure Essential and ID.5 Pro Essential both fall to £34,495.

Volkswagen’s End of Summer Sale provides a straightforward £1,000 reduction across the majority of its new-car range, but the strongest value is likely to be found among its eligible electric models.
Combining the manufacturer’s discount with the Electric Car Grant takes £2,500 from selected ID. models, bringing the ID.3 Pure Essential below £29,000 and making Volkswagen’s electric range potentially more competitive for buyers looking to make the switch.
The relatively short ordering window is worth noting. Customers have just three weeks to secure the offer, although qualifying cars can be delivered through to the end of December.
