MG Motor UK has announced a series of updates for the MG3, MG ZS and MG HS, bringing improvements to Hybrid+ refinement along with upgraded interiors, additional technology and more standard equipment.
The biggest mechanical changes apply to the MG3 and MG ZS Hybrid+ models, where revisions to the traction motor and generator are designed to improve sustained performance while reducing noise and vibration.
Both retain MG’s 1.83kWh Hybrid+ battery and three-speed automatic transmission, with the changes aimed at providing smoother power delivery, quieter everyday driving and improved response when accelerating or overtaking.
MG says the wider range updates reflect customer demand for greater comfort, technology and convenience while maintaining the value positioning of its three core models. All continue to be covered by MG’s seven-year/80,000-mile warranty.

MG3 – Hybrid+ refinement and upgraded interiors
The MG3 Hybrid+ retains its 194 PS output and offers official fuel economy of up to 64.2 mpg, with COâ‚‚ emissions of 100 g/km.
Alongside the Hybrid+ powertrain revisions, MG has upgraded the interior across the MG3 range.
SE versions receive a revised seat design with new black cloth upholstery, while Trophy Hybrid+ models move to black leather- and suede-style upholstery.
The updated MG3 Hybrid+ is available to order now, priced from £19,995 for SE Hybrid+ and £21,995 for Trophy Hybrid+.
An upgraded petrol MG3 will follow later in 2026, priced from £17,995.
MG ZS – more equipment for the compact SUV
The MG ZS receives the same Hybrid+ powertrain refinements, while MG has also expanded the equipment offered across the range.
Its 196 PS Hybrid+ system provides electrified driving without requiring external charging, while the ZS retains a 443-litre boot and 30 storage areas throughout the cabin.
SE Hybrid+ models now gain a 360-degree HD camera, rear parking sensors and wireless phone charging.
Trophy Hybrid+ adds an opening panoramic sunroof and power tailgate, while interior changes mirror those of the MG3. SE receives upgraded black cloth upholstery, with Trophy moving to black leather- and suede-style trim.
Emerald Green also joins the metallic exterior colour range.
The updated MG ZS is available now, with prices starting at £21,495 for SE petrol and £23,995 for SE Hybrid+.
MG HS – more comfort and technology
MG has also expanded the standard equipment offered on its HS family SUV.
Available with petrol, Hybrid+ and Plug-in Hybrid powertrains, the HS was the UK’s sixth best-selling car during the first eight months of 2026, according to SMMT registration figures.
The HS Plug-in Hybrid offers up to 75 miles of WLTP electric range, combined COâ‚‚ emissions of 12 g/km and a total petrol-electric range of more than 670 miles. It currently falls within the 7% Benefit-in-Kind tax band, strengthening its appeal for company-car users.
Equipment upgrades are extensive.
SE models now receive heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging and one-touch operation for all four electric windows.
Trophy versions add ventilated front seats and an opening panoramic sunroof.
A 360-degree HD camera is now fitted across the HS range, together with a mirror tilt-down function to improve visibility of the kerb when reversing.
SE models also gain electrically folding mirrors with memory, while petrol SE and Trophy versions receive MG’s iSMART connected services, allowing functions including cabin climate settings to be controlled remotely from a smartphone.
Inside, SE receives new black cloth upholstery, while Trophy models feature black leather- and suede-style trim. A red interior is also available as a cost option.
Exterior colour choices have been revised, with Arctic Blue becoming the standard finish. Camden Grey and Cosmic Silver replace Hampstead Grey and Sterling Silver in the metallic colour range.
MG HS prices
The upgraded HS starts from £27,495 for SE petrol, rising to £30,495 for SE Hybrid+ and £33,495 for SE Plug-in Hybrid.
Trophy specification adds £2,500 to the equivalent SE model.
The revised MG HS range is available to order now, with the first updated Plug-in Hybrid models expected to reach UK retailers by mid-October.
