Honda Targets Affordable EV Buyers with Lightweight Super-N
Honda has announced that its new Super-N compact electric vehicle will go on sale in Great Britain from £18,995, offering motorists an affordable entry into electric mobility without sacrificing driving enjoyment.
Developed on the lightweight platform used by Honda’s successful Japanese N-Series kei cars, the Super-N has been specifically fine-tuned on British roads. Honda says the model has been engineered to deliver an engaging driving experience while remaining practical for everyday urban use.
Inspired by an Eighties Performance Icon
The Super-N draws heavily on the design of the legendary Honda City Turbo II, adopting its distinctive wide stance, flared wheel arches and purposeful styling cues.
Rather than pursuing outright performance, Honda has focused on creating a fun, agile and lightweight electric hatchback that captures the spirit of the original while embracing modern electric technology.
BOOST Mode Delivers Extra Performance
A standout feature is Honda’s new BOOST Mode, which temporarily increases output from the front-mounted e-Axle motor from 47kW to 70kW.
This reduces the 0-62mph acceleration time from 14.5 seconds to 10.0 seconds, providing noticeably stronger performance when required.
Honda says the combination of low weight and responsive power delivery creates a more involving driving experience than many heavier electric vehicles currently on sale.

Lightweight Design Maximises Efficiency
Power comes from a compact 29.6kWh lithium-ion battery, helping keep kerb weight to just 1,097kg.
Honda quotes a 128-mile combined WLTP range, increasing to 199 miles in urban driving, where the Super-N is expected to spend much of its time.
Rapid charging capability allows the battery to reach 80% capacity in around 30 minutes using a 50kW DC charger.
Compact Outside, Surprisingly Spacious Inside
Despite measuring only 3,599mm long and 1,573mm wide, Honda says the Super-N comfortably accommodates four adults thanks to its ‘Man Maximum, Machine Minimum’ design philosophy.
The interior also features Honda’s well-known Magic Seats, allowing multiple seating and cargo configurations.
Boot space measures 162 litres with the rear seats in place, expanding to 967 litres when folded, making it one of the largest luggage capacities available in the A-segment.
Technology Designed for Everyday Use
The cabin combines retro-inspired design with modern connectivity.

When BOOST Mode is activated, the interior lighting changes from blue to purple, while Honda’s Active Sound Control system and simulated seven-speed transmission aim to recreate the emotional feel of driving a traditional performance car.
Bold Colours and Personalisation
Buyers will be able to choose from several exterior finishes, including the flagship Boost Violet Pearl, inspired by the energy of a lightning strike.
Optional two-tone paintwork with a gloss black roof, rear spoiler and a selection of body graphics will allow owners to personalise the Super-N further.
