BMW UK has officially launched the BMW M Driving Experience, giving UK drivers the opportunity to develop advanced driving skills behind the wheel of some of the brand’s most iconic high-performance models.
Already established across ten international markets, the programme has now arrived in the UK with a range of professionally supervised experiences designed to combine expert tuition with the unmistakable excitement of driving BMW M cars on track.
Participants will receive instruction from BMW M-certified instructors, learning advanced vehicle control techniques while driving a selection of models from the BMW Group portfolio in a safe, controlled environment.

Three Experiences, One Goal
The new programme offers three distinct experiences, each tailored to different levels of driver confidence and ambition.
BMW M Racetrack Training
Taking place at the renowned Silverstone International Circuit, the full-day BMW M Racetrack Training places participants behind the wheel of a choice of BMW M performance models, including the BMW M2, BMW M3 Saloon, BMW M3 Touring and BMW M4 Coupé.
The day begins with classroom sessions covering BMW M performance technologies and vehicle dynamics before moving onto the circuit for instructor-led exercises. Drivers will learn the ideal racing line, advanced vehicle handling techniques, drifting fundamentals and complete full circuit laps under expert supervision.
BMW says the experience is designed not only to showcase the performance capabilities of its M models but also to develop skills that can improve confidence and awareness during everyday driving.
BMW M Drift Academy
For those keen to master controlled oversteer, the BMW M Drift Academy provides dedicated drifting tuition on specially prepared skid pans at selected UK circuits.
Available as a half-day experience, guests will drive either a BMW M2, BMW M3 or BMW M4 while learning throttle control, steering inputs and vehicle recovery techniques from experienced instructors.
Alongside delivering an adrenaline-filled experience, the academy also focuses on improving driver confidence and understanding of vehicle behaviour in low-grip conditions.
BMW Driving Dynamics
The BMW Driving Dynamics programme takes a broader approach to advanced driving, focusing on essential vehicle control and techniques that can be applied to everyday road driving.
Held over a full day, participants will drive a selection of BMW 2 Series and BMW 3 Series models while learning braking techniques, cornering control, vehicle balance and defensive driving principles under professional instruction.
BMW says the experience demonstrates how the latest driver assistance and safety technologies complement good driving technique while helping motorists become safer, more confident drivers.
Who Can Take Part?
To participate in the BMW M Driving Experience, drivers must:
- Hold a full, valid driving licence for a minimum of two years.
- Have no more than six penalty points.
- Have no serious motoring convictions within the previous five years.
- Be aged 25 or over on the day of the event.
