Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has confirmed UK pricing and specifications for the new Caravelle, bringing the familiar nameplate back with updated styling, improved technology and a choice of diesel or plug-in hybrid power.
The new Volkswagen Caravelle is set to return to UK roads in early 2027, offering a premium people carrier designed for families, executive transport operators and businesses requiring flexible passenger accommodation.
Prices start at £41,960 excluding VAT, with the entry-level Caravelle Life costing £53,703 including VAT and on-the-road charges.
Order books are scheduled to open on 6 November 2026, with Volkswagen also introducing finance offers for private and business customers.
A familiar name with a modern approach
Volkswagen is reviving the Caravelle name in the UK, replacing the Multivan designation as part of the latest models introduction.
The new Caravelle retains the practicality associated with Volkswagen’s passenger-carrying vehicles while introducing a more contemporary exterior, upgraded cabin materials and additional comfort features.
Seven seats are fitted as standard, although customers can specify a six-seat arrangement. Standard and Long body versions are available across three trim levels: Life, Style and the new Edition.
The range also offers a choice between a 150PS 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine with seven-speed DSG transmission and a 245PS 1.5-litre eHybrid plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a six-speed DSG gearbox with 4MOTION all-wheel drive.
Updated styling and digital technology
The Caravelle receives a redesigned front end featuring larger headlights, a revised bumper and improved ventilation openings.
Inside, Volkswagen has concentrated on modernising the driving environment and improving passenger convenience.
A new 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen sits alongside a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit, while the dashboard incorporates upgraded materials and decorative stitching.

The new Edition trim sits at the top of the range, introducing distinctive exterior detailing and additional equipment.
Highlights include gloss-black 18-inch Brüssel alloy wheels, darkened LED rear lights and a dark-tinted, two-piece panoramic sunroof.
The cabin features dark ArtVelours microfleece upholstery, brushed decorative inserts and a matching dark headlining.
Volkswagen’s Discover Pro satellite navigation and Harman Kardon sound system are included as standard.
A selection of solid, metallic and two-tone paint finishes is available across the range, with an exclusive black roof option offered on the Edition.

Finance offers mark UK launch

Solutions Personal Contract Plan (PCP) payments start from £499 per month, while Business Contract Hire is available from £449 per month.

Both agreements run for 48 months, with an annual mileage allowance of 10,000 miles.

The larger deposit contribution on the Edition helps bring its monthly payments into line with the Style model, despite its higher retail price.

Business Contract Hire – from £449 per month
Business customers can choose a 36-month Contract Hire agreement on the Caravelle Life Standard 245PS 1.5 eHybrid, featuring a six-speed DSG transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive.
The representative agreement includes:

The total of the initial rental and 35 monthly rentals is £18,409, before any applicable additional charges.
Unlike PCP, Contract Hire is a rental arrangement and does not provide an option to purchase the vehicle at the end of the agreement.
