Chinese automotive manufacturer Chery International has unveiled the new iCAUR V25, a distinctive five-seat SUV designed to combine rugged styling with everyday practicality.
Revealed at the 2026 iCAUR International User Summit, the V25 becomes the latest addition to the company’s expanding international model range as the brand prepares to enter the UK market in early 2027.
Although British availability for the V25 has not yet been confirmed, the unveiling provides another indication of iCAUR’s ambitions to establish itself in the increasingly competitive new-energy vehicle market.
A distinctive approach to SUV design
The new V25 adopts an unmistakably boxy appearance, with upright bodywork, pronounced wheel arches and traditional round headlights.
Its almost equal body proportions contribute to a purposeful stance, while the wider tyres and raised appearance reinforce the impression of a vehicle designed for more than conventional urban motoring.
iCAUR describes its styling approach as Future-Classic, combining familiar design features with contemporary detailing.
Rather than following the increasingly streamlined appearance of many modern SUVs, the V25 takes inspiration from traditional off-road vehicles, although its actual off-road capabilities have yet to be detailed.
The result is a design that should stand out in a crowded market, particularly among buyers attracted to the character of more traditional 4×4 vehicles.
Built for everyday life and adventure
The V25 is positioned as a versatile five-seat SUV, intended to accommodate both daily commuting and recreational journeys.
Its design suggests an emphasis on practicality and outdoor activities, reflecting iCAUR’s wider Born to Play brand philosophy.
However, the manufacturer has yet to confirm important technical information, including powertrain specifications, battery capacity, electric driving range or performance figures.
These details will ultimately determine how the V25 compares with established competitors, particularly if it is eventually introduced to European markets.
Inside the new iCAUR V25
The accompanying interior photographs offer an early look at the V25’s cabin, although full equipment and technology specifications have not yet been released.
As a five-seat SUV, the V25 will need to deliver the combination of passenger accommodation, comfort and everyday usability expected of vehicles in this sector.
Further information about its infotainment systems, driver assistance features and luggage capacity is awaited.
Rear styling continues the rugged theme
The rear of the V25 continues the upright, angular design established at the front, reinforcing its traditional SUV appearance.
The emphasis on strong geometric shapes and a substantial stance gives the model a recognisable identity within iCAUR’s developing vehicle range.
UK launch will begin with the larger V27
While the V25’s future in Britain remains undecided, iCAUR has confirmed that its UK introduction will be led by the flagship V27.
Scheduled to arrive in early 2027, the V27 will be the first iCAUR model offered to British customers.
The larger SUV will provide the first opportunity to assess how the brand’s combination of distinctive design, new-energy technology and lifestyle positioning translates into the UK market.
Further announcements covering the UK model range, specifications and availability are expected in the coming months.
Motoring Echo Verdict
The iCAUR V25 makes an interesting addition to the growing number of Chinese-developed SUVs targeting international buyers.
Its deliberately traditional styling is refreshing in a market where many manufacturers are producing increasingly similar-looking vehicles.
There is certainly something appealing about an SUV that retains the visual character of a conventional off-roader without attempting to disguise its proportions.
However, attractive styling alone will not guarantee success. Pricing, build quality, driving characteristics and the effectiveness of its powertrain technology will be equally important.
For British motorists, the immediate focus remains the forthcoming V27. Nevertheless, the V25 could become an interesting proposition should iCAUR decide to extend its UK range.
