An exceptionally preserved 1997 Ferrari F50, showing just 106 miles from new and originally delivered in the UK, is heading to auction in Las Vegas with an estimate exceeding $20 million.

The remarkable Italian supercar will headline Broad Arrow Auctions’ second annual Las Vegas Auction on 31 October 2026, held at Wynn Las Vegas alongside the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas.

With just 349 examples produced worldwide, the Ferrari F50 is already among the most desirable modern collector cars. However, this particular example offers something even more unusual: an almost unused example of Ferrari’s Formula 1-inspired road car, preserved with its original equipment and accessories.

A Ferrari F50 with a British connection

Chassis number 107165 is the 334th of the 349 Ferrari F50s built, making it one of the final production examples.

Originally delivered through Maranello Sales Ltd in Egham, Surrey, it was among approximately 25 examples supplied new to the UK.

Finished in its original Rosso Corsa red paintwork, the car features a Nero leather interior with contrasting Rosso seat inserts.

Its exceptionally low mileage makes it particularly significant, offering collectors an opportunity to acquire a Ferrari F50 that has experienced remarkably little road use during almost three decades.

Formula 1 engineering for the open road

The F50 arrived in the mid-1990s as the successor to the celebrated Ferrari F40, but adopted a notably different engineering philosophy.

Where the F40 relied on a twin-turbocharged V8, the F50 used a naturally aspirated V12 with technology derived from Ferrari’s Formula 1 programme.

The 4.7-litre engine produces 513 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed gated manual gearbox, delivering the mechanical connection that has become increasingly sought-after among collectors and driving enthusiasts.

Unlike many modern hypercars, with their sophisticated electronic driving systems and automated transmissions, the F50 represents an era when driver involvement remained central to the supercar experience.

A time capsule complete with original accessories

Adding to the car’s appeal is the extensive collection of factory equipment accompanying the sale.

The F50 retains its removable hardtop and original flight case, allowing the car to be enjoyed in either closed berlinetta or open barchetta configuration.

The accompanying accessories include J.P. Tod’s driving shoes, a three-piece Schedoni luggage set with dust covers, the original toolkit, spare fuse, bulb and belt kit, wheel socket, and protective covers for the car, seats and steering wheel.

For serious collectors, the completeness of these original accessories is an important part of the car’s provenance and presentation.

Why the Ferrari F50 is attracting collectors

The F50 occupies a distinctive position in Ferrari history, sitting between the raw, turbocharged F40 and the technologically advanced Enzo that followed.

Its naturally aspirated V12, manual transmission and direct connection to Ferrari’s racing heritage have helped establish it as one of the defining supercars of the 1990s.

Alexander Weaver, Senior Car Specialist and Vice President at Broad Arrow Auctions, believes the car’s appeal extends beyond its extraordinary mileage.

He points to growing collector interest in analogue supercars, particularly among younger buyers seeking the mechanical driving experiences increasingly absent from modern high-performance machinery.

The auction house also reports growing interest in supercars and hypercars from the 1980s through to the present day, although its investment comparisons should be viewed as market commentary rather than a guarantee of future values.

More than 75 collector cars heading to Las Vegas

The Ferrari will headline a single-day auction featuring more than 75 collector vehicles, including a selection of significant supercars and hypercars.

Broad Arrow Auctions, part of the Hagerty group, is returning as the official auction partner of the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas.

Further consignments are expected to be announced ahead of the 31 October sale.

The Motoring Echo Verdict

There is something extraordinary about discovering a Ferrari F50 that has travelled little more than 100 miles since leaving the factory almost 30 years ago.

For some enthusiasts, a car of this calibre deserves to be driven, enjoyed and experienced rather than preserved as a static investment. For others, its virtually unused condition is precisely what makes it so valuable.

Either way, the F50 represents a particularly memorable chapter in Ferrari’s history — a time when Formula 1-inspired engineering, a naturally aspirated V12 and a traditional manual gearbox could still come together in a road-going supercar.

An estimate exceeding $20 million is extraordinary, but this is no ordinary Ferrari F50. Whether it reaches that figure will be decided when the bidding begins in Las Vegas.
