Team Grenadier has strengthened its bid to support the UK Ministry of Defence’s Light Mobility Vehicle programme, adding Hobson Industries and TVS Supply Chain Solutions to the British industrial consortium built around the INEOS Grenadier 4×4 platform.
The two companies join INEOS Automotive, SMT Defence and NMS UK, bringing additional expertise in vehicle reconditioning, fleet support, parts management and global supply chains.
Their addition is designed to strengthen Team Grenadier’s ability to provide long-term in-service support for military vehicles, with a particular focus on keeping fleets operational and mission-ready throughout their service lives.
Hobson Industries has 40 years of experience supporting defence programmes and specialises in vehicle reconditioning, fleet renovation and end-of-life vehicle support. The company has previously worked as a first-tier supplier on defence programmes, including those for the UK Ministry of Defence.
TVS Supply Chain Solutions, meanwhile, brings extensive experience in parts management and global supply-chain operations, including work with defence organisations.
Targeting the MoD Light Mobility Vehicle programme
Team Grenadier has been formed around the requirements of the Ministry of Defence’s Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) programme, combining the Grenadier’s production 4×4 architecture with military vehicle engineering, systems integration and special operations expertise.
The consortium says its UK-based industrial capability will help provide greater supply-chain resilience, operational effectiveness and assured support throughout the vehicles’ working lives.

Militarised Grenadiers head to DVD2026
Team Grenadier will demonstrate several militarised versions of the 4×4 at DVD2026, being held at UTAC Millbrook in Bedfordshire on 16-17 September 2026.
The Enhanced Protection Vehicle (EPV) Grenadier will be displayed on the NMS stand, while the General-Purpose Vehicle (GPV) Grenadier and Multi-Role Light Vehicle (MRLV) will appear on the Hobson Industries stand.
Visitors will also be able to experience passenger rides in the GPV Grenadier in the event’s Dynamic Area.
The MRLV is one of nine modular Light Mobility Vehicle applications being developed around the Grenadier platform.
At its core is the same fundamental architecture used by the production vehicle, including a steel ladder-frame chassis, solid beam axles and a proven powertrain. The aim is to combine the Grenadier’s off-road ability and durability with configurations tailored for different military roles.
From civilian 4×4 to military applications
INEOS says more than 36,000 Grenadiers have been sold to retail customers worldwide, while the vehicle has also found applications with emergency services and border-force operators across Europe.
The platform is increasingly being targeted at military customers, with INEOS pointing to recent contracts involving defence organisations, including the Italian military.
For military applications, the Grenadier’s conventional ladder-frame construction, cross-country capability and focus on straightforward maintenance could prove particularly useful where vehicles need to operate for extended periods in demanding environments.
By adding dedicated fleet renovation and supply-chain specialists to Team Grenadier, the consortium is now placing as much emphasis on supporting vehicles throughout their operational lives as it is on the vehicles themselves.
That could become an important part of its proposition as Team Grenadier positions the British-backed consortium for the Ministry of Defence’s future Light Mobility Vehicle requirements.
