The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard once again cemented its status as one of the world’s greatest automotive celebrations, bringing together legendary drivers, iconic machinery and cutting-edge performance over an action-packed weekend in West Sussex.

Singer Takes Centre Stage

Standing proudly outside Goodwood House, the 2026 Central Feature paid tribute to Singer, the Californian company renowned for reimagining the classic Porsche 911.

Designed by acclaimed sculptor Gery Judah, the dramatic installation reflected Singer’s commitment to craftsmanship, engineering excellence and meticulous attention to detail. The Festival officially opened on Thursday morning as The Duke of Richmond joined Singer Chief Strategy Officer Mazen Fawaz aboard a stunning 1991 DLS Turbo Reimagined by Singer.

Motorsport Legends Draw Huge Crowds

One of the weekend’s biggest highlights came courtesy of Monster Energy, as reigning Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris joined nine-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi for a memorable Balcony Moment on Friday.

Norris arrived behind the wheel of a 1996 Liberty Walk Nissan S13, attracting thousands of fans before returning on Saturday to celebrate his championship success with McLaren. Driving the McLaren MCL60, he was joined by McLaren Team Principal Andrea Stella and Formula 1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart.

Balcony Moments continued throughout the weekend with a host of motorsport greats taking centre stage.

Thursday celebrated Ducati’s centenary, welcoming legendary riders including Troy Bayliss, Josh Brookes, Shane “Shakey” Byrne, Carl Fogarty, Dario Marchetti and Casey Stoner alongside current Ducati World Superbike stars.

Friday honoured Isle of Man TT icon John McGuinness as he marked 30 years since making his TT debut, while Saturday recognised Gerhard Berger on the 40th anniversary of his maiden Formula 1 victory.

The celebrations concluded on Sunday as 1996 Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill reunited with his title-winning Williams FW18 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his championship triumph.

Formula 1 Enjoys Strong Presence

Formula 1 once again played a starring role throughout the Festival, with leading teams including Aston Martin Aramco, Williams, Alpine, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, Red Bull Racing and Visa Cash App Racing Bulls all represented.

Fans also had the opportunity to see current stars including Kimi Antonelli, Pierre Gasly, Isack Hadjar, Arvid Lindblad, Yuki Tsunoda and Fred Vesti tackling the famous Hill, while Williams Team Principal James Vowles also made appearances across the event.

New Fan Zone Proves Instant Success

Making its debut in 2026, the FOS Fan Zone presented by Pirelli quickly became one of the Festival’s most popular attractions.

Hosted by Ariana Bravo and Jarod DeAnda, the stage featured a packed programme of interviews, Q&A sessions and interactive fan experiences with some of motorsport’s biggest names.

Guests included Lando Norris, Jamie Chadwick, Damon Hill, Kimi Antonelli, James Vowles, Freddie Sheene and Freddie and Tom Hunt, giving visitors exclusive insight into the sport from those at its heart.

Americana Celebration Marks Historic Milestone

Cathedral Paddock was transformed into a spectacular showcase of American automotive culture for the Americana Celebration presented by Bank of America.

Coinciding with the United States’ 250th anniversary, the display featured iconic American race cars, motorcycles and legendary names from across the Atlantic.

A surprise favourite among families was seven-time Piston Cup champion Lightning McQueen, whose appearances proved one of the Festival’s biggest crowd-pleasers.

Goodwood Expands Across the Atlantic

The Festival also provided the ideal stage for Goodwood to announce the international expansion of the Goodwood Road Racing Club.

Launching in California during 2027, the new Goodwood Road Racing Club of America marks the organisation’s first permanent presence in the United States, extending Goodwood’s unique automotive community and motorsport culture to American enthusiasts.
